The 2011 adidas Nations tour continued in Las Vegas, NV today with Team USA 2013 and 2014. Players from all over the country made the trip during a busy spring, to play and learn with top players from each class. With individual player development being the primary focus of the day’s training sessions most of the day was spent doing station work with the adidas Nations’ NBA experienced coaching staff. The staff includes former NBA Coach of the Year Mike Brown and NBA veterans Mike Woodson, Eddie Johnson, Don Maclean, and LaSalle Thompson, as well as, Ed Schilling, Cory Smith and Aubrey McCreary.
Throughout the day, players were reminded that hard work, a positive attitude, and mastering the details are the keys to success. This weekend’s workout is the second of three training camps with the next event being held June 10-12 in Houston.
Formed in 2007, the Nations program continues to grow and raise the standard for player development for elite college prospects. “adidas is committed to providing opportunities for athletes to be exposed to the best in basketball instruction, nutrition, footwear, and apparel” says Executive Director Jeff Robbins.
